The archery range is a City of Santa Cruz, Parks and Recreation Department, Public Park and all city park rules apply. The locked gate is operated by the city through First Alarm, the park rangers and city maintenance personnel. While the gates may be left open briefly during the hours the range is closed, you must use caution to ensure your vehicle is not locked in when a key holder leaves and locks the gates. The front gate is often left open briefly during the week by city workers, the back gate is never opened, archers without gate keys will be locked in.

Santa Cruz Archery Club, a.k.a. “Santa Cruz Archers” pays for, builds and maintains all aspects of the archery range through membership dues, fund raiser events, donations and snack sales. The City of Santa Cruz maintains the entry road and parking lot.
